Ball Exercise 17: "Clear Your Hip Cache"
Get rid of some of that "chair baggage" with this ball-supported lunge, that keeps your knees off the ground.
This is seventeen of a set of 24 exercises that get you back into your body, stretching key tech-influenced body parts, and add a little play and peace to your day.
Day 17: “Clear Your Hip Cache”
Sit “side saddle,” with your right hip on a ball
Straighten your left leg behind you and get into a lunge position
Increase the depth of your lunge while keeping your torso upright (don’t overly arch the lower back) and hold for a few breaths
Repeat other side
Make it harder
Reach both arms up, or add a twist to the right (i.e. in the direction of the front leg)
Don’t have a ball?
Try this no-load chair lunge for a similar effect
